All Leisure Holidays Limited are proud to introduce a new addition to the Voyages of Discovery fleet – Voyager. Formerly the Alexander von Humboldt, she has been extensively upgraded and will be joining the ever-popular Discovery in November 2012 to provide an even wider choice of itineraries to destinations worldwide.
Voyager, built by Spanish yard Union Navale le Levante in 1990, is a spacious and well-appointed vessel offering 278 cabins, 30 of which have outside balconies, open seating dining in three restaurants and the personal service and comfort levels that have been the hallmark of our cruises since 2003. Carrying just 550 passengers, Voyager has all the amenities and facilities of a larger liner, whilst offering the convenience and flexibility of a small ship. She is able to visit and berth alongside where others have to pass by, yet is able to traverse the world’s oceans with ease.
The perfect partner for Discovery, Voyager joins our well-established and popular liner Discovery and will offer the same warm welcome and friendly ambience that our passengers expect, but with open seating dining and the option of a balcony cabin.
Breakfast and lunch are arranged on an open sitting basis and may be taken in the Discovery Restaurant on the Discovery Deck, inside the Veranda Restaurant on the Bridge Deck or ‘alfresco’ by the Veranda Restaurant. Continental breakfast is also available in your cabin. In the evening, there are three restaurants to choose from.
The Discovery Restaurant on the Discovery Deck and the Veranda Restaurant on the Bridge Deck both offer open seating, with the Veranda being less formal. On selected evenings our speciality grill restaurant The Explorer Grill on the Discovery Deck offers an alternative dinner menu at no extra charge.
You will be able to dine here at least once per cruise and reservations must be made on board. On both ships, a limited room service menu is available most days from 7.00am to 10.00pm.
A Voyage of Discovery is unpretentious, peaceful and charming in its understated elegance. There are no casinos or extravagant theme nights, just spacious public rooms and restaurants, cosy and friendly bars, fine food and engaging entertainment.
More details will be added shortly.
shore excursion programme is at the heart of the Voyages of Discovery cruising experience. From the ‘must-see’ sights of each destination, to hidden gems that you might not expect, our meticulous planning ensures that your time ashore is as enjoyable as your time on board. When choosing how to spend your time ashore, consider the many benefits of our organised shore excursions over making your own arrangements.
