My wife and I took a one week cruise in the Canaries to recharge our batteries after recently moving house, dates of travel were 06/12 to 13/12/2014. The ship had recently been extensively refitted and extended and was found to be in excellent condition throughout, previous reviewers had reported "shake down" problems, but all was fine for the above period. We had a mini-suite on Deck 10 and we were very pleased with the standard of accommodation, servicing of the cabin was also first class. One of the advantages of this standard of cabin was that it gave us access to the better quality dining facility La Pergola - we ate lunch and dinner here most days and were impressed by the standard of service, the general ambience and in the main the quality of the food. The buffet was also good but had inadequate seating for busy periods. The bars and general public area were beautifully maintained and in general the service was very good, we seldom had to wait for long before a waiter/ waitress took our order. If you enjoy a drink, the Alligissimo drinks package is a must - great value. We did not visit shows onboard so cannot comment, the pianist in the Red Bar however was really good. All in all. MSC represent excellent value for money and we shall certainly use them again.

11 July 2014 one week cruise. Had a fab time. Wonderful staff. Enjoyed the all inclusive drinks package, well worth the money, especially as we had 2 full days at sea (not mentioned on the itinerary) Expected a day in Mykonos not a evening jaunt tagged on the back of a half day in Santorini. Most passengers were fed up, as both places had to be pre booked to get an acceptable tender time to go ashore. All other ports were walk on and off.  A couple of other gripes 1) the number of children, apparently its was free kids under 11. So poolside was impossible, the buffet mayhem and kids screaming all around. 2) Disembarking: Kept on board till 11.00am (no cabin) Kept at port terminal till 1.00pm in an overheated hanger called a" lounge" with motley selection of plastic chairs and no windows. No info what so ever. Kept asking staff but we got the shrug! Despite our flight being at 4.30pm we were unable to to store our luggage to escape and enjoy Venice. No excursions available either. Poor show MSC. Sadly wouldn't book again... although our holiday was great it was what we made it .

Recently took a cruise on the the MSC Armonia around the Eastern Med. Great time was had by all, nice ship, very clean, good food and great entertainment. Booking arangements by Iglu were great, realy pleased and will use them again.  I thought the staff in the posh Dining areas were a little dopey and needed a lot more training to justify a tip which I did not give. Service in the buffet areas was much nicer, my tip and suggestion, to avoid the crowds, is dine posh at lunchtimes and dine buffet in the eveningings and you will avoid the scrum.

Just returned from a Eastern Med Cruse on the MSC Armonia. The food in the restaurant was average, the cafeteria was better. Staff excellent and rooms excellent. The entertainment was more like Butlins and off the ship not enough time at the chosen destinations different to the itinerary advertised timings etc an example would be advertised Istanbul for 1 1/2days we were there for one day (12 hours).

Having cruised on the MSC Armonia this year and MSC Presioza last year I can not find a thing wrong with this cruise line and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you MSC for fabulous holidays.

Have enjoyed a lovely cruise on the Armonia. I was feeling a little apprehensive as I was holidaying alone, but I did not need to worry. I was seated at a table for 8 with other solo travellers & we all had a simply marvellous holiday together. Wouldn't hesitate to do it all again. The waiters were all exceptional & very friendly, so was my cabin steward.

Ship lovely, food OK, bar waiters and room staff very kind. Having to leave ship at 10am when flight was at 4.30pm meant over 5 hours at airport. When asked to stay on the ship we were told we had to leave by 10am.

Ship was fine but we didn't appreciate being instructed to disembark ship in Tenerife at 8.30am when Iglu had arranged transport to airport at 4.30pm. MSC were not interested in helping-we wish we hadn't paid the 14 euros a day service charge. Cost us an extra 80 euros to airport as we were not prepared to sit on the dockside for 8 hours ! Poor planning by Iglu. nged

My wife and I have been cruising for many years, no doubt in our minds that things are been gradually going down hill. Let me say straight away that we do not blame the general crew members who work very hard. I think the cruise companies are struggling. Huge discounts and offers give you a clue that there is a lot of competition between companies. Having just returned fom a recent cruise aboard the Armonia I was a little dissapointed with the food, the mash potato was more like potato purée and vegetables lacking flavour. We decided to do the drinks package on the second day aboard. It seems once the waiters know that the you are on the drinks package the wine during your meal does not flow quite as easily. I thought I would purchase an expensive Longines wrist watch believing that I would save money only to find that I could have paid the same money back home in the UK. On arriving at home I had received a letter from my credit card company stating that there had been suspicious purchases made using my credit card. Payments were all made to the Armonia. Luckily they were stopped. I would love to be able email to the accounts desk on board the Armonia but cannot find a email address. Basically the only time the ship should take money from your credit card is on the reckoning of all your purchases which you sign in agreement prior to leaving the ship.

This was our first ever cruise and having read some awful reviews about MSC Armonia, I was dreading this but the price was just too tempting. We had opted for the fly and cruise option. MSC executives were waiting outside Venice airport and we spotted them easily. We were asked to wait in a waiting area which was just outside the airport terminal. After about 10 minutes or so we were all asked to walk to the bus accompanied by a few executives. They sat us in the bus and explained to us the embarkation procedure. The transfer to the cruise terminal is about 20 minutes bus ride. On arriving there, they walked us through and we were told to leave our luggage and check in. Again check in was simple and quick and embarkation started in about 20 min. We wanted to visit Venice and there were people to explain to us how to get there and places to see. I cannot believe the kind of negative comments people have made about the ship. I don't know what they expect for the price that it is available for! The ship is very neat and clean. The staff are very helpful. We were the only Indians (and possibly vegetarians) among the 1500 passengers and every night they served us with Indian food (which was not on the menu). We were so touched! They didn't have to do that; there were vegetarian options in the menu. How can one fault such service!! The moment you sat down in any of the lounge bars, someone comes and asks you if you need anything. We went all inclusive and they still would come up to us for our next order as soon as our drink got over. All in all an excellent holiday!
