destinations very nice, its, a long time since i have been on a cruise when there has not been a fridge in the stateroom i would say i't a must in summer.other than that everything was very good.

The staff and food onboard Veendam were the best of any other cruise line we’ve sailed with. The staff were extremely friendly and most helpful, and the food was consistently excellent. On shore excursions were very expensive, so we organised our own excursions when ashore. Bar prices were also expensive, but most cruise lines are. The ship was in very good condition, and everything was very well organised.

This is the fourth Cruise we been on with Holland America and the third on the Veendam. We had a great holiday and had a wonderful time. The Veendam is getting quite old now but is still being kept in a wonderful condition. Our thanks go to Captain Steve and his dedicated crew for their hard work and great service. Also thanks to you all at Iglu for your help putting the package together for us, it all went without any hiccups at all thank, we will be back for our next holiday.

Located on Tampa Bay in Florida, the bustling city of Tampa is known for its variety of museums, theme parks and other extraordinary offerings. In particular, its popular due to its theme park Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium and the bustling neighbourhood Ybor City.

Busch Gardens
Spanning an incredible 335 acres, Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay has an Asian and African theme. An animal park and theme park operated by SeaWorld, it's filled with fun attractions including the Cheetah Run rollercoaster, and animals from around the world.
Florida Aquarium
Located in the downtown area of Tampa, the Florida Aquarium spans 250,000 square feet and is home to thousands of tropical fish, sharks and other marine life. Whilst at the aquarium, you can spend your time wondering around the different exhibits and can even opt to purchase one of the extra experiences; which include the likes of penguin encounters and wild dolphin cruises.

The vibrant neighbourhood of Ybor City boasts a wide selection of fascinating vintage shops, boutiques, and Latin American/Cuban eateries. There's even a mall with all the amenities you'll require, including bars and a cinema.

DAY 3
The southernmost point of Florida, Key West is an island city situated within an archipelago. Beloved for its bustling centre, colourful houses and coral reefs, Key West showcases the beauty of Florida, away from the usual hustle and bustle of the theme parks. A popular destination for snorkelling and diving, it has plenty of attractions that are guaranteed to create unforgettable memories.
Things to do in Key West:
Lighthouse
Situated on the coastline, the Key West Lighthouse dates back to 1848. Originally home to a lighthouse keeper, the 65 foot tower is a picturesque landmark in the city that features 15 lamps, alongside 15 inch reflectors.
National Park
Comprising 7 picturesque islands, alongside colourful coral reefs and the 19th century Fort Jefferson, Dry Tortugas National Park is a must when visiting the city. Home to sea turtles and other marine wildlife, alongside the remains of the 1875 Windjammer Wreck, this breathtaking national park is simply remarkable.
Hemingway Museum
Once home to the iconic American writer Ernest Hemingway, the residence has now been transformed into a museum showcasing his fascinating life. Located next to the Key West Lighthouse, this picturesque building is a must for anyone that wants to discover more about this beloved author.
San Juan
DAY 6
Puerto Rico’s capital city, largest urban area and cultural hub, boasts a myriad of things to do, see and taste for a true sense of all Puerto Rico has to offer. In the old city you'll walk the cobbled streets of the colonial Spanish architecture as well as the impressive defensive works of El Morro and La Fortaleza, dominating the skyline and boasting equally stunning views out of the city and coastline themselves.
Things to do in San Juan:
El Morro and La Fortaleza
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Fortaleza was built between the 16th and 20th centuries with the aim of protecting the city of San Juan. It has been a fortress, a prison and a residence, and is open for visitors to explore during the day.
Castillo San Cristóbal
In San Juan, there is a fort called Castillo San Cristóbal. The Spanish constructed it to defend San Juan against land-based assaults. Part of the San Juan National Historic Site, it's arguably the greatest fortification erected by the Spanish in the New World.
The Poet's Passage
The writings of local poet Lady Lee Andrews are shown at this store, art gallery, and cafe. A lot of aspiring poets attend the regular open-mic sessions; making it a unique place to visit during a trip to San Juan.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
DAY 7
Charlotte Amalie is bursting with laid-back Caribbean charm. Visitors will find evidence of its Danish roots, such as the popular watchtower called Blackbeard’s Castle built in the 17th century. Here, you will walk up the hundred steps to the top for unrivalled views of the island and out to sea. Meanwhile, a short journey on the amazing Skyride Aerial Tram will provide unrivalled views of the stunning landscape.
Things to do in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas:
Skyride Aerial Tram
This cool cable car takes you all the way up from the bottom of the cruise terminal harbour area to Paradise Point for stunning views all the way up. At the top is a great restaurant and bar too to take in the sights in true paradise.
Blackbeard’s Castle
Originally called Skytsborg and constructed by Danish colonists for defence and a vantage point, this modern-day hotel also has entertaining guided tours to learn all about the history of Edward and his infamous band of marauding pirates.
Charlotte Amalie Overlook
A short drive away from the port, the Charlotte Amalie Overlook grants extraordinary views out towards the ocean. Although this isn’t within walking distance, the views that you get across the city is well worth the effort.
St. John's, Antigua
DAY 8
Not only is St. Johns the capital of Antigua, but it’s a major port in the Caribbean. A bustling city with a captivating history, it’s full to the brim with attractions, including a farmers market, colourful architecture and picturesque beaches. Particular landmarks within the city include Fort James, the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda and the popular Zemi Art Gallery.

Fort James
Located in the harbour of St. John's, Fort James was built to guard the city from French Invasion. Constructed in the 18th Century, by the British, this fascinating fort is a must see during your stop off in the capital.
Art Gallery
Whilst in the capital, make sure to stop off in Zemi Art Gallery. Located in Redcliffe Quay, the art gallery showcases an array of local artwork, including traditional Antiguan and Barbadian art. Popular with both locals and tourists alike, this colourful art gallery is a unique attraction within the city.
Museum
Learn about the fascinating history of Antigua and Barbuda at this historic museum. Housed within a 1747 court house, it’s a prominent building within the town that has an array of exhibits to explore.
Castries, St. Lucia
DAY 9
The capital of St. Lucia, Castries is known for its picturesque beaches, bustling markets and historical landmarks. A popular cruise destination, it’s built on a peninsula that’s surrounded by the Caribbean sea. Whilst in Castries, make sure to visit the Castries Central Market, Rodney Bay and Marigot Bay.

Central Market
The largest open air market in the city, the Castries Central Market has over 300 different stalls, selling everything from trinkets to fresh fruit. Set up in 1891, this vibrant market is a wonderful place to grab a bite to eat or something to take home.
Rodney Bay
Alternatively, head to the picturesque Rodney Bay. Located in the Gros Islet District, this pretty bay is a wonderful place to unwind whilst sipping a cocktail or enjoying a swim in the nearby turquoise waters.
Marigot Bay
A popular beach in the southwest of the capital, Marigot Bay is a picture-perfect beach that’s often voted as the best in the capital. From its surrounding restaurants and bars to the beautiful water and golden sand, Marigot Bay should be on your list of things to do whilst in the capital.
Willemstad, Curacao
DAY 11
The capital of Curacao, the picturesque Willemstad is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has prominent, colourful Dutch architecture. Within the city, you’ll find an array of attractions, including the Queen Emma Bridge that connects the vibrant Otrobanda and Punda neighbourhoods. Beloved for its bustling nightlife, friendly locals and tranquil beaches, Willemstad gives you a unique flavour of the Caribbean.

Hato Caves
Within easy reach of the capital lies the breathtaking Hato Caves. A popular tourist attraction on the island, the Hato Caves is known for its marine limestone walls. Accessible via several local tours, they have been accessible since the early 1990s.
Aquarium
Popular with families, the Curacao Sea Aquarium offers an array of exhibits, live shows and more. Home to dolphins, sharks, stingrays, sea lions and other marine creatures, the Sea Aquarium is a fun way to spend an afternoon on the island.

Aruba
DAY 12
Situated north of Venezuela, Aruba is popular for ship wreck diving in the crystal clear ocean, walking the beaches and its gorgeous year-round weather. Palm Beach is a popular destination with visitors due to its beach resort boasting a bird sanctuary, butterfly farm and old Dutch windmill. On Aruba you’ll find a distinctly Dutch feel due to the island’s history along with a mix of French, English and the local Papiamento people.

Palm Beach
As well as a gorgeous beach, Palm Beach boasts an old Dutch Windmill ideal for a photo, a wonderful butterfly farm to be immersed in colour inside the jungle-like enclosure, and a bird sanctuary complete with observation tower for unrivalled views.
Bubali Bird Sanctuary
Take a trip up to the top of the observation tower for great views out over this wetlands nature reserve. Here, you’ll find up to eighty different species of migratory birds, from herons and pelicans to cormorants and falcons.

The capital of Grand Cayman, George Town is a popular stop off for those on a Caribbean cruise. National Museum
The Cayman Islands National Museum is located in the heart of George Town, within an old courthouse building on the popular Harbour Drive. Showcasing an array of exhibits, it's a must if you want to learn more about the history of the area whilst stopping off there.
