Just back from a short river trip based on Bordeaux visiting several wine chateaux; we knew what we wanted to see and the trip delivered in spades as far as we were concerned. Can perhaps understand it might have been a bit quiet for anyone expecting more excitement. All was perfectly arranged from start (crew members waiting on the quayside to collect luggage and deliver directly to the cabin) to end (special breakfast for those who had to leave the ship early to get their onward connections). The ship was stylish and very comfortable with plenty of room to mingle with fellow cruisers or to find a quiet corner on ones own. The crew - from captain downwards - were all first rate, very hardworking but never showing signs of flagging and always very cheerful and helpful. Cabins, as might be expected on a small ship, a tad on the small side and the bathrooms, though quite adequate, a touch 'bijou'. Food was plentiful, especially breakfasts, and of a better than average mass-market standard; the 'fine dining' option was disappointing, especially considering one also missed the fun of being in the main dining room. Daily excursions very well arranged by the first-rate on-board Cruise Director and conducted by knowledgeable guides; minor niggle in that some of the docking stations were a bit of a walk to where the coaches were waiting. All in all a first-rate trip, highly recommended.
