Cruise was cancelled have way, due to Covid 19 among crew members, we were not allowed to leave Barbados port and spent days at sea due to no berth available. All entertainment was cancelled due to staff illness, poor choice of food, due to shortage of supplies

We enjoyed our cruise though we felt that the food was not as good as on recent Fred Olsen cruises. The cost of the cruise was high due to the time of year and the inside cabin disappointing, however the staff were very good. The entertainment team put on excellent shows, but there was a lack of individual entertainers. Sadly covid broke out on New Years Eve. We heard rumours that there were earlier cases, but as the entertainment team were affected this time it was difficult to hide when you have to cancel shows! We would travel on this ship again depending on price.

Fantastic holiday. The staff were fantastic. Food good. The entertainment enjoyable. The ship is a bit tired though. Very good value for money. Trips a bit expensive. Expensive to eat in the specialty restaurants which were fully booked most of the time anyway. We will definitely be going with Marella again.

Had arranged for wheelchair accessible vehicle for transport from airport to cruise ship and return as wife is wheelchairbound, but nothing. Had a big argument with them about this. Also had requested seats near toilets in the middle row if seats which payment was made for, where we seated, on the window seats both ways in row 17 outbound and 14 inbound. Excursion was organised for a wheelchair accessible vehicle, but when arrived for departure it was a mini bus with steps. Seems to of been a lack of communication between Iglu and Tui, or Tui just disregarded requests.

Very disappointed with holiday. Type of people on board - a lot of swearing, that was very severe, people getting drunk. Restrictions on board not too good although face masks were a must. Excursions very expensive. I feel this cruise was VERY EXPENSIVE for what it was, for a SINGLE person. I will not go with Marella EVER again. EXTREMELY angry as I had waited for this cruise for so long. I went to a craft session and it turned out to be the entertainers for children - giving paper, glue and scissors to make things - I'm past Blue Peter's makes - it was quite disgusting!

I did enjoy the cruise holiday and the staff were excellent but the loud music around the pool area was hard to escape on the open decks was ridiculous considering the average age was people in their seventies and the endless quizzes and very average entertainment. It was the only cruise ship I ever been on in twenty years of cruising where there no news on the television until near the end of the cruise poor all inclusive drinks package

If there was alcohol in cocktails, you could not taste it. Ran out of BUTTER for last two days. No horseradish on ship ever, despite meals saying they contained it. I asked, catering manager confirmed this. Never saw a banana, only oranges and apples. Tomato at breakfast every other day. Show cast brilliant, all other entertainment with exception of 4Tunes band, truly terrible. All staff pleasant and helpful. Our cabin was superior deluxe balcony, but had no fridge until I complained numerous times. Some bedding bobbly, towels rarely changed unless you left them thrown on floor. Total chaos when PLF had to be completed. Insisted boarding passes were done online, then they were rejected at the airport and had to be printed. Not allowed to go ashore at 2 Islands. Out of 20 cruises this was definitely in a lower class and we will never use them again. We had heard Marella entertainment was great, after two years unemployment for entertainers they tried to put a juggler, who constantly dropped things, on for 45 minutes. The comedian was stuck in the olden days when women were the but of basically every joke.They are obviously trying to save money, on food, alcohol, and entertainment. People who were frequent Marella cruisers saw a huge difference. Never again for us with this cruise line, or even TUI.

We had a 3hr delay on departure due to lack of staff and the baggage system breaking,then our room was double booked even though we paid for the selection of the room then the toilet in room broke and after many phone calls and visits to reception it was resolved around 12hrs after first reporting it then we had a letter to tell us they were going need to enter the cabin to put shelving in the wardrobe which meant all the clothes had to be removed and put on bed causing all the wife's dresses requiring ironing again then finally 2 days before departure the plf form required for entering UK,couldn't be filled in due to lack of WiFi,spent last days trying to do fo in the end the Barbadian authorities assisted all 800 of us on the ship but ours was filled in wrong and we are now self isolating until this is resolved, otherwise it was a good holiday!

A wonderful short cruise with excellent service and a beautiful ship. I would love to go on a longer cruise on Marella Discovery.

This was our first cruise, we sailed with Marella Cruises around the Aegean. So much to do onboard. The Staff are great very friendly We booked two excursions to visit Santorini and Athens in the evening we enjoyed our meals in restaurants 47 then on to the show (loved the shows) fantastic entertainment team Thank You so much for a great Holiday
