For this being our 1st cruise we were very impressed with the Marella Discovery. On arrival we at Barbados we were taken straight to the ship and after the formalities we arrived at out cabin (2074). No complaints on this except the shower could be updated with a screen instead of a curtain unless there are health & Safety issues with this. No complaints either regarding the food or alcohol on ship but were disappointed a couple of times that they had run out of the bottles of beer we were drinking. Staff in the bar, (Neeraj in particular) and restaurants were very helpful, attentive and prompt with their service. Housekeeping could not have been better and the 3 young men looking after us were excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily, sometimes twice a day and if we requested anything it was provided for us in a fast and timely manner. All in all, no complaints and would certainly have no hesitation on booking with Marella Cruises in future.

Marella Discovery is a relaxed, friendly ship, not too big, and with very friendly, helpful staff. We REALLY like the all inclusive basis and also the fact that gratuities are included. There is no money grubbing, unlike other cruise lines. The resident show team are EXCELLENT and work extremely hard.

Great experience from start (bags picked up at the airport and seen next in cabin) to finish (efficient and organised dis-embark with bags taken from the ship to be next seen at the arrival airport). Friendly staff provided good customer service throughout the duration of the cruise. The on-stage entertainment was high energy good quality entertainment and the various venues around the ship presented good variety. We didn’t use the on-shore excursions, choosing to do our own thing using local taxis. This worked well for us. Generally the cruise itinerary was great with our only issue being a Sunday docking on one island which ‘closed’ for the day. Taxis were available but shops generally were not. Would recommend this back to back cruise itinerary to anyone wanting a taste of the West Indies and Marella to those who enjoy the ‘smaller ship’ experience.

I had a lovely holiday on Marella Discovery. I would rate all the crew as first class but particularly Sophie and David who were great helping myself and other single people to meet up and really enjoy each others’ company rather than be on our own. Also, Tojo, Lowal and Tanay who kept my cabin beautifully clean and shining. I really enjoyed the glass house area and having breakfast outside by the pool. I would certainly recommend this company and ship.

We booked the cruise for it's great itinerary - 11 different islands in 14 days. We so enjoyed every moment from the great flights, seamless transfers, great cabin, excellent food, service and entertainment and the staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. The destinations were superb, although we didn't book any excursions (the 5 stars given is because there wasn't a NA option in the review form) we found it very easy to explore independently. We found all the Islanders helpful and friendly and if you have chance, and they are open, would highly recommend the local museums.

Value for money certainly, changed cabins due to generator noise. Queues for drinks and staff shortages. Excursions a little expensive although our St Lucia trip was excellent. Sun beds were being reserved at 6.00 am and difficult to find a space away from the constant music. Maybe too many days at sea and not enough beaches on our selected cruise. Overall though, value for money and excellent staff.

Had a wonderful cruise on board Marella Discovery Mediterranean Medley. It was our first cruise & would highly recommend to our family & friends. We’ve already booked our next cruise for May 2023. Everything on the Discovery was second to none everyone went over & beyond to help the service was perfect 😍 the staff all worked so hard. Our house keeping staff were so friendly & helpful they couldn’t do enough for you we could like to give a special thankyou to Engelbert, Catalina & Monique for looking after us they we’re second to none well done guys. The entertainment was of a very high standard & we’re exceptional. Thank you everyone. Till next year.

Ship was good, cabin clean, staff very helpful. Not enough seats in the evening in the atrium lounge so many people standing. Overall good experience.

Amazing holiday. First holiday as a family with our 20 month old boy. He’s had the best time ever!! Staff were all amazing interacting with him 24/7 and he loved everything - especially dancing to the fantastic live music all of the time. Would like to say Leslie who was a bar worker on the Discovery ship was amazing and Finley thought he was great! Will definitely be booking another Tui cruise as a family as soon as we can!!
