Expert Travel Information
One of the most useful things we've been using blogs for is finding out what actual experts think on certain subjects. There are areas of travel which obviously would not be mainstream enough to be included in guide books - this category is a celebration of incredibly useful but delightfully niche blogs whose work you'll enjoy.
Somewhere in the world is an expert on the place you want to go or the thing you want to do. Finding them is going to be tricky, though, because their work isn't going to be on Lonely Planet or similar. If you're interested in Alaskan cruises (a favourite cruise area on the Iglu team) or on art in Italy, there are some blogs here which you should definitely take a look at. Specialist blogs are arguably more useful than generic travel blogs because they do something you can't find in the guide books.
The Iglu team love this section because the contributors are just so quirky. Dedication to a certain subject is something we admire, so without further ado here are the ten award-winning Expert Travel information blogs.
