The Grand Princess is one of Princess Cruises finest ships. The first of the Grand class ships, she was one of the largest and most innovative ships at sea in 1998.
In spring 2011 she is heading to drydock, where she will undertake one of the most dramatic re-fits ever seen by Princess. The UK based ship will then return to Southampton for the summer season where she will show off new features such as the Piazza Atrium and Alfredo's Pizzeria. The huge re-fit will include the removal of the iconic Skywalker's night club from deck 18, to streamline the ship, with the new One5 nightclub opening on deck 15.
This elegant ship will only enhance her charm and popularity with the addition of many of Princess' popular, signature venues and cruise line first, such as Leaves — the new, unique, tea room where you can custom blend a variety of teas.
Princess Cruises offer superb standards onboard and as the American-style sister company of P&O Cruises they are a popular choice for British cruisers. On informal evenings gents are expected to wear a blazer or sports jacket and on formal nights you dress to impress with your favourite cocktail dress or black tie attire.
If after a long day of shore excursions, after a long lunch or a day of relazing in the spa means you don't fancy dressing for dinner then the buffet restaurant always offers a casual dress code and is open 24/7.
