The Grand Princess is one of Princess Cruises finest ships. The first of the Grand class ships, she was one of the largest and most innovative ships at sea in 1998.
In spring 2011 she is headed to drydock, where she undertook one of the most dramatic re-fits ever seen by Princess. The UK based ship then returned to Southampton for the summer season where she showed off new features such as the Piazza Atrium and Alfredo's Pizzeria. The huge re-fit included the removal of the iconic Skywalker's night club from deck 18, to streamlining the ship, with the new One5 nightclub opening on deck 15.
This elegant ship only enhanced her charm and popularity with the addition of many of Princess' popular, signature venues and cruise line first, such as Leaves — the new, unique, tea room where you can custom blend a variety of teas.
Princess Cruises offer superb standards onboard and as the American-style sister company of P&O Cruises they are a popular choice for British cruisers. The elegant Grand Princess boasts fantastic entertainment from Broadway-style shows to comedy nights and perfectly balances stylish, informal evenings with stunning black tie occasions.
Onboard the Grand Princess there is a fantastic selection of dining options. With traditional set dining times and Anytime Dining both available in the beautiful main dining rooms, you have the choice to enjoy your evening meals the way you want. The speciality dining onboard varies from the fantastic new venues such as the Crown Grill Steakhouse and Alfredo's Pizzeria, to the Princess Cruise classic venues such as Sabatini's Italian Trattoria.

What our customers say
Thank you for the usual Iglu super service. For some reason on checking onto the ship we were upgraded from our balcony cabin to Yacht Club Class on 16th Deck – we felt like VIPs the whole time. As one other family who had booked through Iglu were also upgraded (they travelled out of Gatwick same holiday dates as us) we believe the VIP or VICompany was Iglu, not us. We could only conclude that MSC wanted to impress Iglu customers. Whatever the reason, it certainly helped considerably to add to our enjoyment of the holiday. thanks again and a very Happy New Year to all at Iglu. Elizabeth Boyle (January 2015) Read more feedback
