The Emerald Princess, the newest jewel in the Princess crown, set sail in April 2007.

Princess Cruises launched the 17th addition to their already impressive fleet of luxurious cruise ships. The Emerald Princess made her eagerly awaited debut on 11th April 2007 against the beautifully dramatic cityscape of Rome, before embarking on her maiden voyage through the Med and Greek Isles.

Princess Cruises' Emerald Princess, built in Italy 's Fincantieri shipyards, weighs in at 113000 tons with a length of 290 metres and a width of 36 metres. Passenger capacity onboard the Emerald Princess is over 3000, with nearly 900 of her 1500 plus staterooms featuring balconies.

The $525 million Emerald Princess features everything that you would expect from a ship sailing under the luxury Princess Cruises banner, offering all guests a ‘bounty of choice'.

A major attraction for Emerald Princess guests is the flexible ‘Anytime Dining' feature, offering traditional or casual dining options in many of the Emerald Princess restaurants.

There is a huge variety of entertainment onboard Princess Cruises' Emerald Princess with a choice of lounges, bars and restaurants in which to enjoy evenings at sea. Suspended at 150 feet above sea level, guests are able to appreciate spectacular views from the Emerald Princess' Skywalker's Lounge & Club.
