Summary: Excellent four day cruise to Eire and Isles of Scilly. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, food was superb, cabins kept very clean and tidy. Excursions were very good although one was descibed as a short walk to an onward boat to Caldey Island off the coast of Tenby. For those of a senior age or had difficulty in walking the return walk to the coach would have been very taxing.

This has since been reported back to the excursion team. More time could have been given to look around Tenby after Caldey Island which was excellent. Everything on the cruise was done very efficiently from boarding to embarkation that left the passengers not having to worry about or carry their baggage. Overall Discovery was a tremendous experience enhanced by friendliness and efficiency.

Summary: Just returned from my first cruise ever. I decided to try a cruising holiday to the Baltics as a treat for my 50th birthday with my best friend (and travel companion for the past 10 years) as we hadn't been on a cruise holiday before. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The guests were mainly retired, approx.

90%, so my friend and I felt like the "young ones". Everyone we met were friendly and interesting to talk to. Our cabin on the Bali deck was perfect. Powerful shower and plenty of hot water.

Comfortable beds too. Cleaning staff were brilliant. Our room was immaculate. Plenty of storage space too.

The food was absolutely excellent and plenty of choice. It was like eating in a 3* Michelin restaurant...what a treat! All catering and bar staff were attentive and accommodating, and quite entertaining too! We travelled 21st July to 2nd August so weather was absolutely brilliant...everyone had a lovely tan. Cocktails in the Jacuzzi was a memorable experience! We tried not to use the lifts as it was good exercise climbing the stairs to the lido deck (5 decks above) for our coffee first thing in the morning. The entertainment staff put on good shows every night in the Carousel lounge, Discovery lounge and brilliant music was played in the Discovery Theatre by the violinist and pianist.

The dance floor was used, especially by me and my best buddy. Sister Sister had us laughing with tears running down our cheeks. They're singing was good too. Bingo was exciting and a good selection of films were shown.

Overall, there is plenty to do on this cruise ship and all staff were stars...especially Victoria the dancer and Richard from the Seven Seas restaurant. I would recommend this holiday for a memorable experience.
