Discover the Joys of Cruising

Haven’t been on a cruise holiday before? Our quick guide will help you with those first few steps into the exciting world of cruising.

Worried about seasickness?
Don’t be, modern cruise ships have been designed for stability. Ships now have large

stabilisers on the hull limiting movement and as such less than 3% of all passengers fall ill due to sea sickness. Still worried? Then opt for a Mediterranean cruise, as the sea is renowned for its calm waters.

Dining Onboard
Modern cruising is much

less formal than it used to be and this is reflected in the dining choices onboard. Cruise lines such as Carnival, Island Cruises and Ocean Village, all specialise in offering a relaxed and informal dining environment. Gone are the dinner jackets, instead you can wear what you want and

there is also a huge choice of dishes on offer to suit all tastes. However, if you want a more formal dining experience, there are more traditional restaurants onboard which will cater for this.

Is it expensive?
A seven night summer Mediterranean cruise can be found for as little as £399 pp; flights, accommodation, food and entertainment are all included, offering fantastic value for money. At Iglucruise we offer a wide range of cruising holidays, including the ultimate in luxury cruises.

What is included?
As a rule all meals are included: hot and cold breakfast, lunches,

dinner and throughout the day snacks are always available. All evening entertainment is included, as are a wide range of daily activities.

Extra Costs
Alcoholic drinks, named soft drinks and upgrades to more specialised restaurants are the most common things not included in the price of your cruise. Different cruise lines will include different things in their overall cost, so it is always a good idea to check. Organised shore excursions will normally require a fee, although these are not compulsory and you can choose to explore the ports without a guide, just be back at the ship on time!
