2006 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for ocean cruises, with news of new ships being launched throughout the year, new exciting itineraries and more innovation on the ships themselves.

Along with the increase in the number of cruise ships serving UK shores, more and more people are taking cruise holidays. Thanks to their informal style, cruise lines such as Ocean Village and Norwegian Cruise Lines are making it even easier for people to discover the joys of cruising. With relaxed dining (no need for formal attire), action packed itineraries and a huge range of activities, it’s no wonder so many people are turning to cruise, with some 2007 & 2008 cruises already selling out.

This June, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines are launching their largest ever vessel – the Freedom of the Seas. This 158 000 tonne ship will come absolutely packed with ground-breaking facilities. Innovations include a flow-rider surfing simulator, ice rink, rock climbing wall and two glass bottomed whirlpools which extend out from the side of the ship and sit 112 ft above the ocean!

Take a look through our collection of news, articles and offers and find out more about the wonderful world of cruising.
