Dining onboard with Costa Cruises presents multiple options for food and drink. From casual poolside eateries to formal dining, specialty restaurants, Med-inspired bistros and 24-hour room service. You can enjoy dining al fresco in the fresh sea breeze, do your own thing at the casual restaurants or relax in your cabin with breakfast on your balcony ordered via room service.

In true Italian style, the Costa cruise line pride themselves on providing authentic Italian pizza, created by highly-trained pizza makers at the Italian Pizza Academy (Accademia Italiana della Pizza). The pizza available on many of Costa Cruises’ ships uses freshly sourced ingredients, is cooked in stone ovens and uses traditional Italian recipes.

The Samsara Restaurant combines creative cooking flare with traditional Pacific and Mediterranean courses. The Pacific Fusion menu is packed full of flavour and not to be missed. For expertly prepared Japanese cuisine including sushi, sashimi and other Oriental specialities, the Teppanyaki Restaurant (on Costa Diadema) is the place to go. To make your time onboard even more relaxed, why not opt for a drinks package, meaning that you don't have to worry about the bill at the end of the evening.

  • Pranzo & Cena- for guests 18 years of age or older and includes a range of wines, beers and soft drinks, by the glass at lunchtime or dinner time.
  • Brindiamo- for guests 18 years of age or older and includes coffee, cappuccinos, soft drinks, beers, wines, liquors by the glass at any time.
  • Piu Gusto- for guests 18 years of age or older and includes cocktails before or after dinner, plus soft drinks, wines, beers, coffees.
  • Intenditore for guests aged 18 years of age or older and includes premium drinks at a convenient price, unlimited drinks served by the glass (up to 9 euros).
  • Giovani- for guests aged 4-17 years and includes unlimited soft drinks, coffee, smoothies, juices, hot chocolate. Package must be combined with one of the following adult packages - Brindiamo, Più Gusto or Intenditore.

Kids clubs

Parents can relax on a Costa cruise ship, knowing that their children can enjoy the special onboard programmes under the supervision of the qualified team of staff. Dedicated kids clubs provide age-appropriate entertainment for children of all ages.

  • Mini Club (ages 3-6)- young kids aboard a Costa Cruise will have lots of fun listening to their favourite children's stories, making arts and crafts, or attending a fun-filled 'masquerade party'.
  • Maxi Club (ages 7-10)- the perfect hideout for kids ages 7 to 10, aboard their Costa Cruise ship they can hunt for treasures and compete in a water mini-Olympics or get their hearts pumping with jogging and aerobics. For quieter moments there's a variety of videos and games.
  • Costa Teens Club (ages 11-14)- from parties to dance competitions and tournaments, these junior teens will have the time of their life with a wide variety of Costa Cruises' activities!
  • Teen club (ages 15-17)- now it's possible for this age group to have fun on holiday with their families. Totally hip teens can participate in sports and fitness activities, watch videos and groove to their favourite music during disco hour.

Babysitting

While cruising is a holiday for the whole family, Costa Cruises also provides quiet time for parents. Costa Cruises' Mini and Maxi Club night-time group baby-sitting, held in the children's area, and is a free baby-sitting service until 1:30 am. However, there is no night time baby-sitting service available for children under 36 months of age.

Parents Night Out

Costa Cruises takes parents travelling with kids into consideration with Parents Night Out, a feature which appeals to both children and adults alike. On formal nights, children can spend the evening with their peers as they enjoy a supervised buffet dinner and fun activities designed especially for them. While the kids are being entertained, parents can relax as they enjoy sumptuous cuisine and a romantic evening together, feeling secure that their children are having while being supervised by our dedicated Youth Counsellors.

Family fun

Kids and their parents can get together and participate in fun activities like karaoke, bingo and even a talent show. These Costa Cruise activities are a great opportunity for parents and kids to spend time together and have loads of fun while they're at it! There's even a video arcade where everyone can play modern and retro games.

Children's Menu

Children will love the Costa Cruises' special Kids Menu that is served at every meal as it features all of the foods that kids like best! Spaghetti, Pizza, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Grilled Cheese, ice Cream and more - there is always something to please even the most picky eaters! What's more, Costa Cruises offers a beverage card for 20 non-alcoholic drinks so kids can have fruit juices and carbonated drinks at any time during their Costa cruise!

With a large fleet of vessels and a year-round collection of cruises, Costa Cruises is one of a few cruise lines offering Med cruises throughout the year.   • The Basic Package- the Basic Package is for the price conscious guest, who enjoys the cruise experience itself rather than any added extras. This includes a standard cabin assigned for guests.
  • The Total Comfort Package- the Total Comfort Package is for those looking for quality with added benefits. It gives guests a choice of two cabin types; the Classic Formula or the Premium Formula. The Classic Formula cabin also includes the ‘Pranzo & Cena’ drinks package, and the Premium Formula includes the ‘Brindiamo’ package. Pranzo & Cena includes a selection of unlimited wines, beers and soft drinks. Brindiamo includes speciality coffees, soft drinks, beers, and a selection of wines and liqueurs.
  • The Deluxe Package- the Deluxe Package is a luxurious package which includes a range of exclusive experiences and privileges. It offers guests an elegant, large cabin, with a number of exclusive amenities including the ‘Intenditore’ drinks package. This includes unlimited, premium drinks such as the very best Champagne and drinks from the minibar in the cabin. How Many Costa Cruise Ships are There?

  • Costa Cruises' cabins have European outlets. The cruise line can provide some adaptors but these are limited so it’s advised you bring your own for using chargers and electrical equipment with a British 3-pin plug.

  • The currency used onboard Costa Cruises is Euros when sailing in the Mediterranean/Europe or the US Dollar in the Caribbean.

  • Although the predominent language onboard is Italian, Costa Cruises consider themselves an international cruise line and there are guests and crew members from all over the world onboard. This means guests won't have difficulty communicating with staff, plus the entertainment has been designed with an international audience in mind. Guests are also able to choose what language they would like during shore excursions.

  • Guests with a disability are able to travel with Costa Cruises, however it is important for guests to inform of their needs at the time of booking in order for preparations to be made to cater for them.

  • The Oggi newsletter is distributed to every cabin each night of the cruise, allowing guests to keep informed about the daily activities taking place, plus other useful information such as the weather and currency in the next port.

Food and Drink

  • Both a glass of wine and a bottle of beer vary from around €5/$5.50 upwards.

  • At the time of booking you will be asked to select the type of table you would like and the time wish to have your dinner each night. If you'd like to eat in one of the speciality restaurants, this will need to be booked onboard or online.

  • The drinking age is 18 years old on any ship leaving from a non-US port. However, for any cruise leaving from the USA the drinking age is 21 years old.

  • No, restaurants onboard are not open 24 hours, however room service is available at any time. Room service has an additional cost unless you are staying in a Premium cabin or above.

  • It's important for guests to make any dietary needs known at the time of booking, however specific menus can be requested on all cruises. These include gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic, diary-free and low sodium. It is recommended guests also inform restaurant managers of their needs.

Families and Kids

  • Yes, there are kid’s menus in all Costa restaurants with plenty of options including nutritious dishes.

  • During the day children over three years old are able to take part in Miniclub activities under safe supervision, enabling parents to enjoy some free time on their own.

  • No, unfortunately there are no nappies onboard so if you're bringing children, it's important to remember to bring plenty.

  • Yes, Hospitality and Customer Service can provide cribs, baby baths and high chairs.

  • Parents can pre-book the collective babysitting service which is held at Miniclub from 11.30pm to 1.30am.
