Celebrity Cruises - Azamara Quest

Celebrity Cruises' new Quest set sail to the Caribbean in October 2007.

This autumn has see the eagerly anticipated arrival of Celebrity Cruises' third Expedition Class ship, the Azamara Quest. She teamed up with the existing Celebrity Xpedition and the recently launched Azamara Journey.

Originally built in 2000 for Renaissance Cruises, the renamed Azamara Quest weighs in at 30277 tonnes and is nearly 600ft long. The 710-passenger Azamara Quest has benefited from a revitalising Celebrity refit during her one-month drydock period, before embarking on her Celebrity Cruises inaugural voyage in October.

As one of Celebrity Cruises' smaller vessels, the Azamara Quest is able to offer her guests a more exclusive cruise holiday experience with a highly personalised service. Each of Azamara Quest's glorious 355 staterooms are complemented by full butler and concierge services.

In comparison to the many 'superliners' now cruising the oceans, namely those of Celebrity Cruises' parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises, the Azamara Quest could be considered somewhat petite.

Celebrity Cruises are happy to be extending this specialist division of their brand. Azamara Quest's smaller scale increases Celebrity Cruises' destination versatility, enabling guests to visit an exceptional range of premium destinations normally missed by the larger cruise ships.

Azamara Quest's first sailings under the Celebrity Cruises banner took her to the Caribbean, with her 12 – 14 night itineraries featuring several exclusive, first-time ports of call such as Guadeloupe, Dominica, St Barts and the Turk & Caicos Islands.

Azamara Quest then moved on to visit unique and exotic destinations around South America, including the Panama Canal, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
