This cruise was a 16 night cruise to the Western Med & Adriatic coast. Upon arrival at Southampton City Cruise Terminal the progress on to the ship was very friendly, efficient & fast so much so that within 15 minutes we were on-board & greeted with a complimentary drink, we then sat down to lunch in the Windjammer Self Service on Deck 14. This is a large & well laid out buffet of many dishes to cater for all tastes. The ship is large and appears at all times to be very clean. The staff are excellent and extremely polite and helpful. To help getting around the ship there are many helpful signs, both in and outside all lifts. We had our meals in the Moonlight Sonata restaurant Deck 4 Select Dining. All the meals were excellent with plenty of choice. Our Stateroom with balcony on Deck 6 was excellent as was our always attentive Stateroom Steward. The 3 Celebrity shows in the Theatre were, for us, too noisy and too many flashing lights which spoiled things but the visiting artistes were all brilliant. There were many things to do on board both during the day and evening that this review cannot do justice to as well as the excellent ports visited.

Just returned from wonderful Mediterranean cruise on July 16th on board the Eclipse. The ship was fantastic in every way from the staff & service to the entertainment, excursions facilities etc. Although they do their utmost to get you to spend, spend ,spend you were under no obligation to buy photographs or products if you did not want to. The food choice was great in the Oceanview cafe but a little confusing & frenzied at busy times. The Moonlight Sonata menu could be a little repetitive but you could really have anything you wanted NOT on the menu or extra portions if you wanted. Our waiter Mur could not do enough for us. The cabins were generous with plenty of storage. I took 3 large cases of clothes and stored everything quite adequately. The excursions were pricey but well worth it. There was good information given on each excursion prior to going for less mobile people like myself. Our tour guide in Rome was excellent. Her knowledge was admirable as well as her enthusiasm, a true labor of love. If I could fault anything, I was disappointed with the size of the pool in the solarium. It was like bathing with strangers. One last thing topped it all, the weather was glorious everywhere we went. Even the days at sea were hot. Thank you Celebrity cruises for a wonderful holiday.

The ship was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The stateroom was also clean and our stateroom attendant was very professional and courteous. The food in the restaurants was excellent, we also often ate in the café, which is buffet style had offered a large selection of cuisine from around the world. The café could sometimes get a little crowded, though was fine most of the time. If you do not take a drinks package then alcoholic drinks can be very expensive, although there are free soft drinks available around the ship. Overall all I would recommend this cruise.

Just had a fantastic cruise on the Eclipse, food fantastic, entertainment fantastic. Never short of something to do. The Eclipse has to be the cleanest ship ever, they never stop cleaning it. The waiters are brilliant they do everything for you, cabin staff keep your cabin spotless. My wife is a wheelchair user, the ship and the cabins are perfect for wheelchairs. Do not think you will be the only wheelchair user there are lots. My wife used a power chair, but for shore excursions you are better off using a manual chair you can go on more trips.  On the down side alcohol drinks and gratuities are over the top, but do not let this put you off you will have a fantastic holiday on this ship. This was our first cruise but it will not be our last.

This was our first cruise and Peter was extremely helpful and knowledgable with his advice; he made some suggestions for whilst onboard which proved invaluable. We have two children age 10 and 6 and whilst this ship is not particularly child focused (on the whole its quite a 'sophisticated' environment!) the children's clubs were excellent. The pools are small but pleasant but unfortunately the weather was chilly once we reached Vigo & onwards to Cherbourg and due to the adults only rule for the indoor pool it became unfeasible to swim any longer - it may be nice for the cooler climes to have a time for children allocated in the indoor pool/spa area which incidently looked very lovely and served fantastic healthy salads! The quality of the entertainment, staff and the ship itself were very impressive. The staterooms (we had two deluxe balcony rooms - adjoining) were small compared to a hotel but cleverly thought out and the shower was oversized which was unexpected! The room service was much better than standard hotel fare! Its also worth noting the Apple TV system offers the very latest films (of all genres) for a very reasonable fee of between $5-10 (useful for when the children are in bed and/or you can't face dressing for dinner again!). It's worth studying the daily ship newspaper so as to maximise your time onboard, it's quite easy just to relax, have a leisurely breakfast (the brunch is a must!!) and then miss the events you had hoped to see. The drinks and additional fee restaurants were all decent value but the spa was expensive although it did look very luxurious and the choice was considerable. The onboard customs officers were a nice touch and embarking and exiting the ship was very much easier and less painful than flying! Thankyou for directing us to a wonderful relaxing holiday Peter at Iglu!

We boarded the Celebrity Eclipse in Southampton, the parking was very easy and only a few minutes walk from the terminal building. We had paid for an upgrade to Aqua Class cabin, which included priority check in, unfortuantely although we were directed to a specific aqua class queue it was as long if not slightly longer than the non upgraded cabins. Check in took approx. 30 mins. On boarding we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and helpful staff, we made our way to our cabin and noted the ship was spotlessly clean. Our cabin on deck 11 was spacious, with enough storage for the 4 day cruise we were on. The shower room was again very adequate but there were no premium bath products or complimentary slippers as advertised. The slippers were later provided on request, but we were informed that the bath products were standard for all cabins. As aqua class passengers we had access to the 'Persian Garden' a sauna and steam room area with heated beds which was very nice and relaxing, We also had exclusive dining in the Blu restaurant, the food and service was excellent. The ocean view restaurant provided 24hour facilities and was very good, if anything there was too much choice! The entertainment was of a good standard with an excellent circus show and a very amusing guest comedian. The ships gym is of a very high standard, not many staff so you have to know what you are doing on the machines. There were only a couple of complimentary classes. We would deffinately travel with Celebrity again, a slight downside is that everything apart from the standard is charged extra eg. gym classes, specialist restaurants, all beverages (apart from in the oceanview) so take extra cash.

Travelled Aqua Class. Embarkation was a breeze. Lovely cabin with good size balcony and the Blu restaurant was superb. Friendly and accommodating staff catered superbly for my special dietry requests. Beautiful ship. Enjoyed the 2 for 1 happy hour sitting on the lawn in the early evening sun, what could be better? The buffet was generally busy but we ate breakfast and dinner in Blu so it wasn't too bad. Made use of the Persian Garden an absolute haven after a busy day. Only disappointment was really the destinations on this cruise, Mexico didn't live up to the destinations we have done on the Ultimate Carribean.

(Staff review) I have just returned from a day trip on the Celebrity Eclipse and from the moment I stepped on board, it struck me just how amazing it is. Just as a taster, it certainly has made me want to travel for longer on this ship! A quick recommendation, visit the speciality restaurants, they certainly will be a special night for all to enjoy, especially Qsine, looks amazing and they take your order on the new iPad, definitely bringing cruising to the 21st century!
