My family and I recently visited Grenada on the P&O cruise ship, Ventura, and would like to say we had a wonderful day here. The cruise ship docked into the port of St.George's, which is famous for its fishing, and yearly yacht races. We disembarked the ship onto the beautiful, white powdery beach of Grand Anse. From there we took an half-day tour of the island, which was an eye-opener when you see how some of the local people live. The afternoon was spent at our own leisure. We visited a few of the shopping malls and bartered with the local stall holders at the daily market. The people here were so friendly and welcoming. We felt very relaxed here compared to a lot of places we have visited. Lastly, we had dinner at a beautiful beach restaurant, called True Blue, by Grand Anse beach before returning to our cruise ship. The day just wasn't long enough. We will definitely be paying this lovely island another visit in the foreseeable future and hopefully stay a little longer.
