One of our cruise team leaders, Tracy, was lucky enough to be onboard the Carnival Breeze's debut cruise. Here are her thoughts on the ship & the Carnival experience:
Recently I had the pleasure of sailing on the brand new Carnival Breeze in the Mediterranean, on her maiden voyage.
The experience was amazing and the ship just fabulous! Fun is the name of the game from the moment that you embark and is around every corner of the ship. Carnival pride themselves in having some of the most fun ships at sea — and you can see why! The ambience onboard has a great, laid-back feel to it, making this an ideal holiday for those looking for a less formal, fun-filled experience.
Families will love the features onboard and the standards are sky high. The water park is well thought-out, with two tall water slides and two smaller slides for the younger children. Water guns are mounted along the walk ways and buckets are suspended in the air laying in wait to drench unsuspecting passers by — or those asking for a wetting down! The rope walk is also super cool and for the more adventurous children to explore.
For those looking for a quiet escape from all the fun, the Serenity adult-only area is a sun-bathing oasis. Deck day beds, double hammocks, cocktails — perfect! Towel animals bring a surprise to your cabin — hanging from the air-con units or wearing your shades on your bed.
There is a great Children's Club space, that boasts fab facilities and care. Explore the shore with the children onboard or dance the night away whilst the children sleep soundly in the night crèche. Equally, the kids get some much needed time away from parents’ prying eyes, as they make friends and fill their days and evenings onboard.
Even the dining experience is touched with the fun wand — table magicians, Frank Sinatra-style singers and dancing waiters will get you out of your seat and joining in with the upbeat dance routines!
Limbo competitions, deck games and energy-fuelled entertainers keep the party going long and hard for all ages. But don't worry, just like Club Med, you don't have to join in!
You will be hard-pressed to think of something you want from an evening that Carnival hasn’t already thought out. The Carnival product really gives family ships of the future a new standard to aspire to. They have set a new benchmark for the future of family ships to match.
