Azamara's sales pitch lead me to believe that they are an 'all inclusive' cruise. Yes there is beer by the pool, wine with the meals and some (not all) spirits but that's where it ends, everything else comes at a price and a hefty price at that. Azamara is at least 50% more expensive than a 'standard' 5* cruise but when we sat down to list what extra we were getting for the extra money it came down to a nice bed and attentive staff. The food was no better than any other cruise we've been on and the cost of anything not free was exorbitant; the cost of excursions was ridiculously overpriced. If the fact that brandy and port is not included, the half bottle of red in the room cost £20 and that the spirits in the fridge were not free was stated somewhere in the brochure then it must have been in the small print and I don't expect to have to read the small print. And, then there's the charge of US$25 to pay to eat in two out of four restaurants! I was left feeling cheated.

Excellent in every respect. The ship, crew, destinations, and even fellow passengers were perfect. I shall have no hesitation in going with them again. The only slightly adverse comment I would make is that as a fairly new 'cruiser' I had some difficulty in sorting out what I needed to do, in what order, and in what time frame, after booking with Iglu. I know you send Emails from time to time but one contained a wrong link regarding land excursions, and sorting out visas and inoculations was a minefield. Some terms used in the Emails may well have been familiar to you but simple things like (eg) Xpress Pass may not necessarily be recognised as just a conventional boarding pass. Sending a 2015 Azamara cruise brochure having requested one for my trip in 2014 wasn't a great help... It would have been so helpful to have been given a simple check list at the outset, including of course what visas are needed for this specific cruise. There was a misunderstanding with the visa people you recommend which led to a last minute panic because they had not sent me a form for the restricted entry port on the Andaman Islands, although I certainly read out the itinerary of the cruise. Having said that, everyone of your people were unfailingly courteous and helpful and I would again book through Iglu. Sincerely, Richard Noble

We recently took a 13 night trip across the Bay of Bengal to Andaman and Myanmar and on to Singapore. The ships size gets it in to places that the big ones can only dream about. Sea days are a joy superb sun terrace next to the pool, sun beds with matresses and nice thick towels all looked after by the attentive staff. In fact all the staff are fantastic I can say that their smiles and positive atitude made the Cruise. The cabins are a bit small but perfect for a good sleep or sit out on the balcony. Finally the food and drink, all is fantastic, in my opinion the buffet selection on this ship is better than anything else with a different geographical location everyday. As all drinks are included (unless you want a premium brand) there's also the relaxed position of not having to sign for stuff all the time. I will definitely take another trip on this ship as and when a good schedule arises.

Lovely, friendly small ship. Very attentive crew. This is something special, no queues different ports and more overnights and late sailings. Coupled with free drinks all the time. Dining is all free time and the alternative dining venues are excellent one Italian and the other a grill lovely food reasonable charge. No bun fights at the cafeteria with excellent menus and lot of attention from waiters. Entertainment included local artists and they always put on an Azamazing evening where you are taken ashore to a local venue with free drinks, snacks and a show, ours was a classical string orchestra. Beats Saga and Fred Olsen.

This is such a difficult ship to review after having my second cruise on her .. It's utterly fantastic. From the welcome you receive to the food, the Azamazing evening and the fact that it's all included and I mean drinks and gratuities aswell. At the price it's in my view unbeatable. I'm already trying to work out which cruise I'll take on her next year. Of course ill book it with Iglu Cruise.

I had a lovely cruise around the Black Sea. We have cruised 12 times before with many different cruise companies. The biggest positives about this ship are the AzAmazing Night and the White Night Pool Party. Excellent and different entertainment. Food excellent, cabin lovely, all of the ship was clean and spacious. The only negative's were the fact that the Looking Glass closed too early and the bar and serving staff could be quite abrupt and not as pleasant as on other ships. As it is the smallest ship I have been on I sensed a bit of a clique amongst staff and sometimes they had a bad attitude. There was definitely a clique of crew members around the DJ in the Looking Glass. Officers and managers were all very nice and nothing was too much trouble.

Since returning early August I cannot stop longing to return on the wonderful Azamara Quest. I am sure the Journey is the same. The staff are wonderful, the ship is run so professionally. I just cannot find any fault anywhere and this is my 9th cruise, having sailed on RCI, Celebrity, P&O, Holland America. I love the fact that there are no formal nights as I find them all artificial now, having said that I did enjoy them at one time but oh all that luggage! I never felt that the ship was crowded and found it strange not to have to wait for anything. I am looking now hoping to get an offer as they can work out expensive but of course they are all inclusive.

Thank you again for your faultless organisation of my recent cruise. Your staff have always been so helpful and the trip has been without a single problem. The transfers you organised were faultless. Please thank the team members involved. The 9 day cruise around the Black Sea to Athens was fantastic. June 12th.

Words can not describe just how good my cruise was with Azamara, I was blown away by every single aspect of my 7 night cruise. I have cruised many times and been on many different ships and I never expected the Azamara to be as good as it was. I expected it to be good but in my view was the best I have been on. It’s a six star cruise without any stuffiness at all so relaxed and a great atmosphere on board. Food – I am going to start with the main restaurant discoveries – Excellent service and food arrived hot every time. Food itself was top notch and equal to anything I have had on the other six star ships. Food – Prime C – This is one of 2 x speciality restaurants on board the other being Aqualina which we did not try being as it is mainly a fish restaurant and not to my taste, However Prime C is to my taste and is a stakhouse at sea. You pay a cover charge of $25 per person but well worth it for the 4 courses on offer. The restaurant itself has floor to ceiling windows and has great views, really worth looking at the itinerary to see when to book we had a table at 6pm when in St Tropez wonderful views made the evening really special. The food is superb with steak to die for cooked to just how you want it. My only complaint was I could not eat it all. This is a must try. Food – Windows Café – This is buffet food but again excellent and we used mainly for lunch and breakfast. Plenty of choice and waiters on board to get you drinks and give any help needed. Food – Mosaic Café – We only used this on one occasion as it is a speciality coffee bar with snacks and we sat down and had a few snacks, very popular and always people sat down around in this area reading and sipping coffee. Room Service – Great choice available 24 hours a day free of charge we used this service loads and always quick and food arrived hot. Now onto the entertainment and  its not a mega big ship entertainment but I am guessing this is what makes Azamara so special. They do have shows and live acts on board but to be fair we enjoyed other peoples company and the social aspect on board is like no other. Myself and my wife are both late thirties and although the age group is slightly older than what we would normally be used to, we found Azamara so relaxed and met people from all walks of life, different age groups and from all over the world. I can’t stress enough the passengers on board like their good food and service but don’t want all the stuffiness that goes with some of the other cruise lines. I think Azamara have created a unique feeling on board like no other and it certainly made for the best cruise we have ever had. Cabins – Ok not the largest of cabins but perfectly equipped and was more than big enough for ourselves. Yes, other six star cruise lines will have bigger cabins but also bigger prices. I sleep in my cabin and might spend a little time in their but most of my time onboard is spent in the public areas so this was not a major issue for us. Public areas – very plush and the pool area had plenty of sun loungers all with fresh towels everyday, lovely salt water heated pool and 2 x hot tubs either side more than enough for what we wanted. If you want some late night entertainment then the looking glass is the place to go small dance floor and a DJ from 22.30 till late. Great bar and in the day a lovely place just to relax and take it all in. Service – Did not encounter any problems at all in fact the staff were the best I have experienced, professional but friendly and made you feel so relaxed. I am sure this is why there is such a great feeling on board throughout. It was pleasant to see the Captain, Hotel Manager, Food and Beverage Manger plus all other senior staff on a regular basis talking to the passengers laughing and joking and just general conversation. They work so hard but all look so happy in what they do, very refreshing. To sum up, Azamara really are amazing and the value for money is by far the best out there, I felt it was worth every single penny spent. Most of the drinks are included in the price with a good choice of wines, spirits, cocktails and beers. I for one will be going back again and can’t wait in fact we are in touch with around 15 passengers from our cruise and everyone feels the same you can’t get a better recommendation than that. My advice to anyone looking at Azamara is go for and get ready to be spoilt on board and for the holiday of a lifetime.

After over 16 other cruises this was the best ever. The food and wine was superb, staterooms were generously proportioned and staff could not have been more helpful. We loved the Azamara evening which was great fun and brilliantly organised in the Sorrento Hilton. I would recommend without hesitation.
