Had a wonderful cruise out to San Juan from Southampton. Friendly helpful staff, great food and excellent shows. My only criticism was the seating in the dining rooms with solo travellers being thrown in with couples or even on their own in My Time Dining. I eventually arranged for a couple of tables for 10 to be set aside for solos (not necessarily singles) for breakfast and lunch and we all had such fun meeting each other. This could and should be an option for dining at night as wellm, there is a completely different dynamic to solo tables' socialising and it benefits the cruise line too in the form of bigger bar bills as solo travellers have people to have fun with.

Baltic cruise 25june 2013 st Petersburg was amazing summer palace has to be seen to be believed Tallinn was also very good .The ship is in need of refit formal dining menu was ok but too many items repeated .went to Portofinos very disappointed 8 dollars for a bottle of water and charged extra for latte coffees .thought the 20 dollar cover charge per person would have covered that.the shuttles are getting expensive round about 15 dollars in most cases not easy to get to Bruges, tips are getting expensive 12 dollars each a day nearly £200 per couple extra for average service .cruise director clo was very good but the entertainment was average ,the folk lore show was excellent but the rest were average

Yes, it is a Royal Caribbean experience and therefore much better than many others. Yes, many of the shows are world class. Yes, the staff are brilliant and the food exceptional. However, the experience on this ship lacks the 'wow' factor of other ships in the fleet. If you are RC standards aware, there will some disappointment here. This may be due to cost cutting, savings on staff training or staff reductions due to an imminent re-fit. For the Western Med cruise on 9th Mat 2013, main grumbles were: - long waits for food to be delivered from the kitchens to the restaurants - tables poorly laid and shortages of foodstuffs - entertainment poorly organised - cost of shuttle buses to town was outrageous e.g. 15 Euro for Lisbon - shortfall on swimming pool cleanliness - maintenance work going on during the cruise

We went on holiday in December 2012 for a Caribbean cruise we flew to San Juan Port. Our time onboard the ship was amazing start to finish. All the staff were lovely the ship was clean and very impressive my only two grumbles were that the ice rink was only open on sea days which we only had one and only managed to skate for 10 minutes, and also because of the port we went to we didn't realise 90% of the guest were Puerto Rican. They all speak Spanish and are very loud and rude and had children running around past your cabin making a lot of noise. Amazing cruise could not fault the company or the staff just a shame about the other guests onboard. So bare this in mind if your thinking about cruising from this port on any ship any cruise company. We have learnt from this and would go from Fort Lauderdale next time.

Fred Olsen ships are for UK passengers age 40 up. Lots of 60's retired folk like me. Not too formal but jacket used most nights. A very good product with a very loyal following. Food is very good, both in the restaurant and in the buffet. Curries excellent! Many staff are regulars who recognise clients. A very nice athmosphere exists on board with a friendly bunch of passengers. A nice small ship with c700 passengers, lots of room, not crowded and the opportunity to meet all on board over the days. Great walk around Promenade Deck and large library/ activity room. Non Balcony cabins could be a bit tired. All Fred Olsen ships are excellent value for money. Entertainment is very good indeed, Shows and entertainers first class. Enrichment on our last trip (Astronomy and Submarine warfare) successfully attracted half the ship. Ship is small so one can get closer to shore than larger ships.

Always been to Caribbean before, first time cruising the Med. May 26 - June 2nd. What Joy! Short Easyjet flight, €25 in taxi right up to the dock for the first glimpse of the awesome Adventure of the Seas, dominating the dock. Very smooth check in and great cabins. We were lounging in 28* under clear blue sky with an ice cold cocktail from the indomitable Harry of Harry's Bar on the top deck less than six hours after leaving dreary drizzly Manchester! No jet lag, no problems. All the facilities were as good as promoted and the Windjammer self service was always well stocked and extremely well run. Our waiter Samuel was every bit as good as the waiters in the formal restaurants and looked after us really well - even when I mistakenly put chocolate sauce on my excellent roast beef mistaking it for gravy! Abel, the cruise director, and his team, Jaba and Gabriel and others, made sure the fun was non stop if that is what you wanted. The Duck and Dog pub quizzes were a real hit with the Brits, mainly thanks to the infectious personality of the quizmistress - Claire ( I might have got the name wrong) but just go there and you will be well entertained. The only shows which were a bit below par were the Lyric Theatre productions which fell short of the standard I have experienced on Princess Cruises and Ocean Village. However, The Ice Show, and the Royal Promenade entertainment more than made up for this. It was nice travelling with Spanish and a few German passengers and Abel made light work of going from language to language without making either nation feel they were waiting for information — they should have him compere the Eurovision Song Contest. It is well worthwhile catching his talk on his 6 months solo around the world on a Ducatti motorbike — I learned more about the state of the world in 40 minutes than I ever did from the news programmes. If you expect just to step of the ship into little resorts then this is not the trip for you — except for Ajjaccio a trip by coach is required at each port. If you're not fussed about Florence, as it follows the day after the long haul to Rome (worth it), then €10 on the bus takes you into Livorno, which is a great place to shop around and a boat trip on the canal network is easily fitted in and the guide onboard is excellent. Valencia is closed on Sundays making it easy to enjoy the beautiful squares and churches and architectural delights, There are enough cofffee houses and continental bars and restaurants open to sit and relax in. Would I go Royal Caribbean again? Absolutely. As always, though, it is the entertainent team, the waiters, the chefs, and the cleaners who all go to make the cruising eperience one to be remembered with relish. Well done Adventure of the Seas.

The Adventure of the Seas is awesome. I have to say they serve the best pizza on the high seas. Anyway, our steward was excellent, and made different towel animals every night. The casino is pretty large, very impressive. One night we went to the Windjammer, it was buffet and the food was yummy. They even had guitarist playing while we were dining. Another tip, you must book the Portofino reservation early. When we finished our dinner there, we tried to make another booking later in the week, but they are all fully booked. If you ask me ‘will we come back again?’. My answer will be definitely YES.
