2014 cruises offers another exciting year for cruising from some amazing new ships visiting incredible destinations.
The big news for 2014 cruises is a new ship arriving in the Galapagos Islands. Silversea Cruises newest ship, Silver Galapagos, arrives in the regions at the end of 2013, but will be sailing year-round to the Darwinian island for the first time in 2014. Silver Galapagos may not be the first cruise ship to visit the Galapagos Islands — with Celebrity Xpedition among ships to have previously visited the region — but she most certainly will be the first cruise ship to bring expedition cruising and 6* luxury to the islands.
Silversea Cruises, with the Silver Explorer, offer the pinnacle in luxury cruising to exploration destinations, bringing together expert guides and excursions with all-suite, all inclusive cruising. If you've ever wanted to see where Darwin developed his evolutionary ideas, then this is the way to do it.
2014 cruises also brings us an exciting selections of new cruise liners to look forward to. Regal Princess, sister ships of Royal Princess, is pencilled in for delivery on spring. The second of the two sister ships help Princess Cruises really step up in the 5* cruising market. These new ships are the largest ever built by Princess, but instead of cramming on more passengers, they have made the public areas larger and given them a completely new lay-out and style.
Royal Caribbean also have new ships arriving in 2014 as part of Project Sunshine. As things stand information is still sparse, but we do know these wonderful ships will be closer in size to the Freedom class ships, but will boast many of the popular innovations found onboard the Oasis Class ships.
2014 cruises will be another year that pushes the boundaries of cruising and we already can't wait.
