2012 is beginning to look like the year of the sister ship. With Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Lines, Oceania Cruises and MSC Cruises all keeping with tried and tested formulas on their latest ships. 2011 Cruises bought us more destinations and variety, and 2012 cruises are also looking to widen our holiday horizons.

Celebrity Cruises are adding to their increasingly popular Solstice class ships with the Celebrity Reflection and MSC Cruises are adding an 12th ship to their fleet with the Fantasia class MSC Fantastica. Disney Cruise Lines are following up 2011's Disney Dream with the Disney Fantasy and Oceania Cruises are following up the success of the Marina with Riviera.

In 2012 P&O Cruises will be celebrating their 175th anniversary with The Grand Event, on 3rd July in Southampton. The celebrations will include all eight of P&O Cruises' ships in port, with the ships departing in procession, before sending each other off with salutes and flag waving in the English Channel.

The 2013 cruises are slowly being announced, with new ships from Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean on the cards.
